Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 8, 2026
1. Introduction
PrecMade operates https://precmade.com and provides custom electronic enclosure engineering review, manufacturing coordination, and related project inquiry services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our website, submit an engineering request for quotation (RFQ), communicate with us, or use other features of our website.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your personal information is handled, please contact us at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you submit an Engineering RFQ or contact us, we may collect:
- Contact and business information: your name, email address, company name, and country or region.
- Project information: project or part name, development stage, enclosure type, target quantities, materials, finishes, engineering requirements, and other information you choose to provide.
- Technical references: drawing or file-sharing links, project documentation shared during subsequent communications, and any information included in those materials.
- Confidentiality preferences: whether you indicate that a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) is required before exchanging sensitive project files.
- Communications: messages, questions, quotation discussions, and related correspondence.
Our current RFQ form accepts links to files stored through external sharing services rather than direct file uploads. If additional documents are needed, we may arrange a separate method of exchanging them.
Please avoid including unnecessary personal information in drawings, document metadata, or file-sharing links. Do not submit classified, export-controlled, or similarly restricted technical information through a public sharing link.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use our website, our hosting, security, and related technical services may process information such as:
- IP address and approximate network location;
- browser type, device information, and user-agent details;
- requested pages, access times, and technical logs;
- security signals used to detect automated traffic, abuse, or suspicious activity;
- cookies or similar technologies required for website functionality and security.
Comments
Where comments are enabled on individual articles, we may collect the information entered in the comment form, together with technical information such as an IP address and browser user-agent details for moderation and spam prevention.
Approved comments and associated display names may become publicly visible.
Public visitor account registration is not currently enabled.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information, as relevant, to:
- Receive, review, and respond to project inquiries and RFQs.
- Clarify technical requirements and evaluate potential manufacturing approaches.
- Prepare or coordinate quotations and communicate about project requirements.
- Arrange appropriate engineering discussions and subsequent document exchange.
- Manage business correspondence and maintain relevant project records.
- Operate, maintain, and secure our website and communication systems.
- Detect spam, automated submissions, and other misuse.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and address legitimate business disputes.
We do not use information submitted through an engineering RFQ solely for unrelated advertising purposes.
Where applicable data protection laws require a legal basis for processing, that basis may include taking steps requested before entering into a contract, legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and maintaining website security, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where valid consent is required and obtained.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or where otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.
Website, Email, and Security Service Providers
Service providers that support our website and communications may process relevant information on our behalf or under their own applicable responsibilities. These include:
- SiteGround: website hosting, email infrastructure, and website backup services.
- Cloudflare: website-related security services and Turnstile verification.
- Google: email processing where business communications are forwarded to or handled through Gmail.
- Tencent / Foxmail: email processing where business communications are forwarded to or handled through Foxmail.
The information processed by each provider depends on the services being used and the relevant communication or technical activity.
Manufacturing and Engineering Partners
For manufacturing feasibility reviews and quotations, we may share necessary technical requirements, drawings, specifications, quantities, or other relevant project information with manufacturing and engineering partners.
Our routine quotation process is designed to avoid disclosing customer names and direct contact details to manufacturing suppliers. We review technical materials for unnecessary identifying information before external sharing.
If a project requires additional information sharing, we may discuss the appropriate scope and arrangements with the customer.
Legal and Other Necessary Disclosures
We may disclose information where required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, investigate misuse, or address security incidents.
We do not treat a general RFQ submission as authorization to publicly disclose confidential technical documentation.
5. Engineering Files and Confidential Information
We understand that engineering inquiries may involve proprietary designs, technical drawings, product specifications, or other commercially sensitive information.
Please indicate any NDA requirement before sharing sensitive project files. An NDA request or checkbox selection does not itself create an executed nondisclosure agreement.
Where an external file-sharing link is provided, access to the linked materials may depend on the permissions and terms of the file-sharing service selected by the sender.
We use project information for the relevant inquiry, engineering review, quotation, and related business communications. More specific confidentiality obligations may be established through a separate written agreement.
7. Data Retention
We generally retain Engineering RFQ information and related project correspondence for up to 12 months after the last substantive project-related communication, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for an ongoing business relationship, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or other lawful purposes.
Other information, such as website comments, security logs, or technical records, may have different retention periods based on its purpose and applicable requirements.
Website and email backups may temporarily retain copies of information after it has been removed from active systems. Such copies are subject to the applicable backup lifecycle and restoration arrangements.
When information is no longer required, we take appropriate steps to delete it or otherwise limit its continued use, taking account of applicable technical and legal requirements.
8. International Data Processing
Our business communications, website operations, and service providers may involve processing information in countries or regions other than the one in which a visitor is located.
Different countries may have different data protection laws. Where applicable, international processing and transfers are subject to relevant legal requirements.
You may contact us for further information about how your personal information is processed across borders.
9. Information Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
These measures include website security controls, anti-spam verification, managed access to business communications, and service-provider security features.
No website, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please contact us before transmitting particularly sensitive materials so an appropriate exchange method can be discussed.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of personal information in applicable circumstances.
- Object to or request restrictions on certain processing activities.
- Request data portability where applicable.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Raise concerns with an applicable data protection authority.
To submit a privacy-related request, email [email protected].
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some requests may be subject to legal exceptions or other applicable limitations.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our website and engineering inquiry services are intended for business and professional audiences and are not directed toward children.
If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances requiring deletion or other action under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps.
12. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may link to third-party websites, file-sharing platforms, or external resources.
Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We encourage users to review the relevant privacy information before providing personal data to external services.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in website features, data processing practices, service providers, or applicable requirements.
The date displayed at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was last updated. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
